Meat Thrown In Shiva Temple in Maharajganj's Uttar Pradesh; Accused arrested

On Sunday night at around 8:30 pm, a teenager from a particular community threw a piece of meat inside the ancient Shiva temple in Khoria Bazaar village.

Maharajganj: A teenager from a particular community tried to spoil the atmosphere by throwing meat in the premises of the ancient Shiva temple located in Siswa alias Khoria village last night on Monday. Upon hearing this, villagers gathered and an atmosphere of tension prevailed in the village. Police personnel were deployed on the spot to ensure the temple's security. 

What happened?

On Sunday night at around 8:30 pm, a teenager from a particular community threw a piece of meat inside the ancient Shiva temple in Khoria Bazaar village. Upon receiving the information, police immediately arrived at the scene. 

The police officers with the help of villagers removed the meat and cleaned the temple. 

A case has been registered against the accused juvenile offender, and taken him into custody.

Who informed about the incident?

A villager named Sonu and other residents of Khoria village under Nautanwa police station informed the police about the incident and said that the accused belonging to a particular community put meat in a black foil and threw it in the temple premises and fled from the spot.

What happened after the incident?

Even after the meat was removed and temple was cleaned, people continued to create ruckus, demanding action against the accused. Later, the police brought the situation under control by convincing the people. As a precaution, police force has been deployed to the spot to prevent any untoward incidents. 

Station House Officer Purushottam Rao stated that the juvenile offender has been taken into custody and is being questioned. The situation is completely under control.
