Mulayam Yadav's son Prateek announces divorce from wife Aparna; calls her 'Family Destroyer'

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader late Mulayam Singh Yadav's son, Prateek Yadav on Monday in an Instagram post said that he will divorce his wife and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Aparna Yadav and called her 'family destroyer' and 'selfish'.

What Prateek Yadav said?

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Prateek made the announcement about the divorce. He shared a strong message, accusing Aparna of being selfish and responsible for disrupting his family life.

He shared a picture of his wife, Aparna with 'Family Destroyer' as a quote written on it.

Prateek shared the picture with the caption, "I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible. She ruined my family ties. All she wants to become is famous and influential. Right now, i am very bad mental health condition and she doesn't bother. Because it's only herself she bothers about. I have never seen such a bad soul, and i was unfortunate to get married to her."

What Akhilesh Yadav's brother accuse?

In the post, Prateek reportedly called Aparna "selfish," described her as a "bad soul," and accused her of ruining his family relationships.

He allegedly stated that he was going through a difficult mental phase and that Aparna was indifferent to his condition.

Reason for differences between Prateek and Aparna?

The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, have been under public scrutiny in the past due to political differences, with Aparna joining the BJP in 2022 while the rest of the family remained with the Samajwadi Party. Aparna and Prateek also have one daughter.

However, Aparna has so far not reacted on Prateek's post and it is also unclear whether any legal divorce proceedings have been initiated.
