Ayodhya: Amid allegations of embezzlement of Ram Temple donations and financial irregularities, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will hold a crucial meeting on Monday. The meeting will be held at Mani Ram Chhawni under tight security.

What is the reason of meeting? 

Politics has heated up across the country over the Ram Mandir donation theft. So far, FIRs have been filed against eight accused and they have been arrested. The SIT investigation is constantly revealing new facts. 

Following the donation theft controversy, an important meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is scheduled for Monday at 3 pm in the temple premises. The meeting will decide the future of Champat Rai, who has resigned as the Trust's general secretary, and member Anil Mishra. The meeting will also discuss other important issues related to improving the Ram Temple's management. 

Who will attend the meeting?

The Trust president Nritya Gopal Das and the Trust treasurer Govind Dev Giri has asked all regular and ex officio members to attend the deliberations. Nearly all officials associated with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust are scheduled to attend the meeting. 

Gopal Rao, a specially invited member of the trust, stated that the meeting will be held on July 6 at 3 pm in the temple premises. All 14 members have been informed and urged to attend.

He said that the trust has a total of 14 members, and all have been invited. It is expected that all members will attend. Gopal Rao also stated that the meeting will be chaired by Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, president of the trust.

Decision on the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra: The main agenda of today's meeting of the Ram Temple Trust will be to decide on the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra. Both have submitted their resignation from the posts following the donation theft controversy. Many are in favor of their resignations, while others are attributing them to pressure from opposition parties. In this situation, all members of the Trust will decide what to do with their resignations.

Interim report of the SIT to be presented: The interim report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate the donation theft will also be presented at the meeting. The SIT's investigation uncovered significant evidence related to the offering theft, which is why the investigation and action in the case gained momentum. After the SIT investigation report is presented to all members at today's meeting, the Trust's future course of action on this investigation can be decided.

Discussion on implementaion of new system: The Ram Temple is the center of faith for millions of Sanatanis. The Trust oversees its management. Everything seemed fine before the donation theft scandal surfaced. But now that the truth has been revealed, the Trust will decide in today's meeting what new arrangements should be implemented at the temple to curb such incidents. 

Discussion on the future management structure: Amid the ongoing offering theft case, the future of the Ram Temple will also be discussed. Discussions may also be held regarding future arrangements for the increasing number of devotees, as well as the future management structure of the Ram Temple. Recently, Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Alok Kumar also stressed the need for changes in the management of the Ram Temple. 

Appointment of the CEO: Unaudited income-expenditure reports, balance sheets, and other financial statements for the 2025-26 fiscal year will be presented for approval. The meeting is also likely to discuss the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to oversee the management of the Ram Temple. The CEO will be in charge of the Ram Temple's management.
