BSNL 4G Launch: September 27th is a very special day for the state-owned telecom company BSNL. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia shared a post on X, announcing that PM Narendra Modi will launch BSNL's indigenous 4G network tomorrow. He stated that BSNL's 4G network is completely Indian-made, cloud-based, and future-ready. Most importantly, it can be easily upgraded to 5G without any interruptions.

Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that the BSNL 4G stack will be rolled out across 98,000 sites. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it from Jharsuguda, Odisha. India has now joined the ranks of the top telecom equipment manufacturers, joining Sweden, Denmark, China, and South Korea.

According to Telecom Talk, a senior BSNL official has recently also informed that 5G service will soon be launched in the major metros of the country (Delhi and Mumbai).

Important role of TCS

Tata Consultancy Services is a major player in the BSNL 4G rollout. According to the report, the core network was developed by the Centre for Development of Telematics. Tejas Networks provided the radio access network, and the overall system was integrated by TCS.

Connectivity will be available in every village

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch a 100% 4G saturation network. There are plans to connect 29,000 to 30,000 villages across the country, enhancing digital connectivity in remote areas. Furthermore, people will gain access to government services, as well as new opportunities for health, education, and employment.
