Fact Check: Fake accounts of Vyomika Singh and Sofia Qureshi REVEALED

The Government of India Press Information Bureau has recently uncovered a serious cyber fraud. Fake social media profiles have been set up in Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force and Colonel Sophia Qureshi of the Indian Army, who took part in Operation Sindoor. These profiles were appearing with a blue tick (verified). Both of these profiles soon went viral on the social media platform X. These spurious accounts have attempted to propagate false information by abusing the popularity of the two authorities.

There is no official account of Vyomika Singh and Sophia Qureshi

Neither Vyomika Singh nor Sophia Qureshi has an official handle on X. However, these imitative accounts have gained 28,400 followers on behalf of Vyomika Singh and over 68,000 followers on behalf of Sofia Qureshi. PIB has made a stern warning in this regard and requested people to take information only from official sources and not from imitative accounts.
