From India to the World: How Honda Navi Dominates Global Scooter Exports

In India, scooters like Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter have ruled the domestic roads, but now a scooter has also come up which has made India's name in the international market.

Honda Navi: Becomes the most exported scooter

In the financial year 2024–25, India exported a total of 569,000 scooters across global markets. Out of these, the highest number of 1,43,583 units of Honda Navi were sent abroad. This is about 25% of the total exports. This proved that India is making its strong presence not only in the domestic market but also in the global markets.

The charm of Honda's scooters

Along with Honda Navi, two other scooters of the company—Honda Dio and Activa—are also included in the list of top 10 export scooters.

  • Honda Dio: Its exports grew by a whopping 91% from 66,690 to 1,27,366 units.
  • Honda Activa: This scooter which ruled the domestic market like a king, is now standing strong on the export charts as well.

TVS and Yamaha are also not behind in exports

TVS Motor Company exported 90,405 scooters, while Yamaha Motor India sent 69,383 units abroad. Yamaha Ray scooter also performed well, whose exports increased from 40,605 to 68,231 units.

India becomes the new hub of scooter exports

India is now becoming a leader not only in the manufacture of two-wheelers but also in their global exports. Scooters made in the country are now making waves in several markets such as Africa, Latin America, South-East Asia and Europe.

Global resonance of 'Made in India'

Success like the Honda Navi is a matter of pride for India's automobile industry. It not only reflects the growing export potential but also strengthens the global acceptance of 'Made in India' products. In the coming years, more scooters from India will be seen making a splash in the international market.
