New Delhi: Carl Pei-led brand Nothing is set to launch its first AI-powered device in December. A glimpse of the upcoming product has also been revealed, although the company has not disclosed its name or category.

Sharing details about the gadget, Carl Pei revealed that Nothing’s first AI device will be screenless, meaning it will not feature a display. The image shared by the company shows a gadget with rounded corners. However, it does not reveal what the device actually is.
Carl Pei Explains Who Will Succeed in the AI Era

In a post on X, Carl Pei wrote, “Today, you work with AI. Tomorrow, it will work for you.”

He said that AI is currently a productivity technology and is expected to remain so for several years. According to him, those who succeed in this era will be the ones who build tools for the “Intelligence Age” with the precision, care and pride of skilled craftsmen.

He added that successful companies will be those that understand people, earn their trust and create machines that offer a glimpse of a future people have always been excited about.

Pei Says He Is ‘Very Excited’ About the Upcoming Device

Carl Pei believes that the magical consumer device everyone has been waiting for will eventually arrive, and it will be the result of years of quiet hard work.

He said that instead of simply chasing the final outcome, Nothing believes in putting in the effort required to create something meaningful. That work has already begun, he added.

The company's first AI-native product will arrive next month. Pei described it as a tool developed with the same distinctive identity and attention to detail that have been hallmarks of every Nothing product.

The company has clarified that its upcoming device will not have a screen and will not be an app either.
