New Delhi: A 26-year-old Singapore woman says she achieved a rare financial milestone by buying her own home worth about Rs 7 crore entirely with her own earnings. She shared her journey in a TikTok video that has drawn attention online, saying hard work and strict saving made the dream real.

What was her work routine like?

The Singapore-based producer and content creator, identified as Chris, told media that she juggles a full-time job and freelance gigs in photography and video. That combination keeps her busy 12 to 18 hours a day, every day of the week. Chris even joked that she works "during gym sessions" to squeeze in more hours.

"The truth is, I just started young and had time on my side to build up funds," Chris said.

Chris said she started working at age 14 and began investing some of her income from age 19. Her strategy included living on a very tight budget and tracking every expense. She said she ate inexpensive meals and avoided overspending to build savings fast.

She also shared a video on Instagram, joyfully announcing that she now owns a Rs 7 crore property. The video is shared with the caption ,"26 in Singapore and bought an almost $$1M private property alone! Not crypto. Not rich parents. Still wrapping my head around this."

How did she afford the house without help?

Chris explained that her parents didn't contribute to the purchase and only learned about it when she collected the keys. She had set a personal goal to own property before turning 27 and worked toward it with determination.

"I yearn safety and stability, and my mum always instilled a sense of independence in me. Owning a stake in Singapore feels safe," she said.
