When Bihar’s most beloved teacher, Khan Sir, does something he does it in style, and often, in complete secrecy. The internet is buzzing with laughter and curiosity after Khan Sir quietly tied the knot and later hosted a low-key but star-studded reception in Patna. But what truly grabbed everyone's attention was his witty, unexpected reply to former deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav’s innocent question: "When did you get married?" Want to know what he said? Read on to catch the moment that has the whole of Bihar and now the internet talking.

The viral moment at the reception

On Monday, Khan Sir hosted a private wedding reception in Patna that brought together some big names, including Tejashwi Yadav. The event might have remained low profile until a video from the stage went viral. In the clip, as Tejashwi reached the stage and greeted the groom, he casually asked, “When did you get married?” Without missing a beat, Khan Sir delivered his now-famous punchline

"India aur Pakistan ke beech thoda tension chal raha tha, usi beech mein shaadi kar li. Model aapka hi tha – chup-chaap karna hai aur baad mein batana hai." (Literal translation: "There was tension between India and Pakistan at the time I got married right in the middle of that. And the model was yours do it silently and tell people later.") Tejashwi, and everyone else on stage, burst into laughter.

A "copy-paste"wedding plan?

When Tejashwi jokingly prodded further, asking if only family members were present, Khan Sir responded in his signature style: "12–13 log the sirf." Then he cheekily added, "Jaise aapne kiya tha, waise humne bhi kiya. Socha kis se copy karein, to aap se hi kar liya." (Just like you did, I did the same. I thought, who to copy? So I copied you.) It was the perfect blend of humour, humility, and wit that fans love Khan Sir for.

An invitation for his students

While the reception was attended by close friends and dignitaries, Khan Sir didn’t forget his real family his students. He announced a special "daawat" (feast) exclusively for his students on June 6, telling them directly during class. For many, this gesture reinforced why he remains one of the most respected and loved educators in the country.

A secret wedding, Khan sir style

The revelation of his marriage has come as a shock to fans, especially given Khan Sir’s typically transparent and public-facing life. Yet, the teacher chose privacy over publicity, much like Tejashwi Yadav’s own quiet wedding during his political tenure. What made the entire interaction memorable was not just the revelation, but the way Khan Sir handled it with grace, humour, and zero drama.

Khan sir handled it with grace

From secretly tying the knot to joking about it on stage with a top political leader, Khan Sir once again reminded everyone why he’s more than just a teacher he’s a personality. And come June 6, hundreds of his students will get to celebrate with him the way they know best with food, laughter, and lots of love.
