The Hague: A video of the Indian community's program during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Netherlands is becoming increasingly viral on social media. People of Indian origin present at the event raised slogans “Bachche maange maa ki godi, Bengal maange Narendra Modi”, after which this clip became a topic of discussion on the internet. These days, PM Modi is on his four-country Europe tour, where his focus is on strengthening trade, technology, energy and strategic partnerships.
As soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the stage during the Indian community program organized in The Hague, the people present there gave a warm welcome. Meanwhile, some people raised the slogan “Children want mother's lap, Bengal wants Narendra Modi”. People present at the event recorded videos from mobile phones, which went viral on social media platforms within a few hours. Many users linked this to the enthusiasm of NRIs towards PM Modi.
Different reactions emerged on social media regarding the viral video. Many supporters called it an example of Modi's global influence and popularity. At the same time, discussion regarding this slogan intensified in political circles also. Many users on X shared the video and called it the most talked about moment of the Netherlands tour.
Prime Minister Modi met the heads of several big Dutch companies in the Netherlands. During the talks, emphasis was laid on increasing cooperation in areas like semiconductor, artificial intelligence, green energy, digital technology, health and maritime trade. PM Modi invited Dutch companies to increase investment in India and said that India is continuously improving towards ease of doing business.
During the visit, the Netherlands handed over copper plates of the 11th century Chola dynasty back to India. This historical heritage was abroad for a long time. Its formal transfer took place in the presence of PM Modi and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetton. Prime Minister Modi called it a proud and emotional moment for India.
Addressing Dutch industrialists, Prime Minister Modi said that major reforms have been made in tax, labor laws and administrative processes in India. He said that the government is continuously reducing compliance and creating a better environment for investment. PM Modi especially emphasized increasing partnership in areas like semiconductor, AI and renewable energy.
