Trending News: On Thursday morning, a client dining at the Rameshwaram Cafe branch inside Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport received an unpleasant surprise when he discovered a worm inside a plate of pongal. The customer reported finding the worm in the breakfast dish shortly after it was served. He stated that after he reported the problem, employees at the famed South Indian restaurant attempted to downplay or cover up the occurrence. When media contacted the cafe's co-owners, Raghavendra Rao and Divya Rao, they responded to the incident.  Raghavendra Rao stated, "We're trying to contact the consumer. He seems to be travelling."

"We've seen such incidents in the past"

However, Divya Rao expressed scepticism about the claim. “We have seen such incidents in the past where customers have taken worms out of their pockets and used them to dent the image of the brand. We have earlier caught it on CCTV too. At the airport, we don’t have access to that. We need to look into it. But I am sure this is just one such incident to dent our name in the market. We will release an official statement soon,” she said.
