Seema Haider attacked: Man enters home, strangles and slaps her over black magic claims

Uttar Pradesh: A bizarre incident occurred on Saturday with Haider, a Pakistani border resident in Rabupura in Greater Noida, near the national capital. An unidentified young man broke into his home forcibly. The accused attempted to strangle Seema Haider first and then slapped her three or four times. Fortunately, Seema raised an alarm and upon hearing the commotion, the family and surrounding neighbours arrived there. They arrested the accused and reported the matter to the police. The police arrived at the location and took into custody the accused. The police are probing the case.

Seema herself appeared and opened the door

The police said the accused has been identified as Tejas Jhani, a local of TB hospital in Surendranagar district in Gujarat. The accused had arrived in Delhi by train on Saturday and arrived at Rabupura through different means of transport. As per the police, when the accused arrived at Seema Haider's residence, the door was closed. He kicked four or five times on the door. In this instance, Seema herself appeared and opened the door and attempted to peep out.

The accused is mentally unstable

When Seema Haider objected, the accused slapped her three to four times. On hearing the commotion, his family members and others ran to the place. These individuals grabbed the accused and first thrashed him severely and then contacted the police and surrendered him. The accused is being questioned, according to ACP Sarthak Sengar. But the questioning till now has shown that the accused himself is mentally unstable. Under such circumstances, his family has been made aware of the accused being taken into custody. The whole thing occurred late on Saturday night.

Questions on security raised

Following the Pahalgam attack, the police were asserting that they had made alert arrangements for the security of Pakistani border Haider. Meanwhile, following the attack of this Gujarati youth, questions have begun to be raised on the police arrangements. In accordance with the police, an inquiry has been ordered into the issue. Besides this, the accused's cell phone call details are also under investigation. The accused, during police interrogation, informed them that Seema Haider and Sachin had performed black magic on him.
