New Delhi: A heartwarming video from Delhi’s Connaught Place is winning hearts online. It shows an elderly woman selling pens on the street when American content creator Steve Yalow walks up to her and buys two pen, then hands over all the cash he had left in his pocket before walking away. The emotional exchange, shared on Yalow’s Instagram, has now gone viral.
Steve is known for posting videos of his global travels and interactions with locals. In the video, Steve can be seen walking up to an elderly woman, who was standing by the side of the road selling pens. Steve gave the woman Rs 100 and he got bought two pens from her. Impressed by the woman’s smile and positive behaviour, he noticed that she still had many pens left. He started counting all the pens and estimated that the entire stock would cost around Rs 900, but when he checked his pocket, he only had Rs 550 left. The content creator gave the woman all the money remaining in his pocket. He left with just two pens and wished the woman a good day.
In the video,the elderly woman can be seen smiling and talking to Steve in Hindi. Steve said that he would translate the woman’s words later. He shared the video with the caption, "Buying pens on the street in New Delhi, India IN."
