What's the reason for snakes to be in cars during the monsoon?
Snakes do not knowingly get inside vehicle , but during the rainy season, when their dens are flooded, and the area is waterlogged, they look for warm, dry, and sheltered places. A parked car can often do just that, especially near the engine and under the bonnet.

Warm engines turn to perfect hiding places
An engine stays warm for a considerable time after a vehicle has been driven. Snakes will find a good hiding place inside the engine compartment when it is hot, and narrow spaces provide shelter during rainy weather.

Risky Areas For Cars During Monsoon
Idle cars are more susceptible in the vicinity of unoccupied land, overgrown bushes and garbage dumps. They may be a source of rodents and frogs, both of which are natural food sources for snakes. This will allow them to be more likely to attract reptiles.

If you find A Snake, What To Do?
Do not attempt to remove a snake from your car on your own if you see one in your vehicle. Do not panic, exit the car slowly and with care. If necessary, call the local wildlife rescue team, forest department or emergency service.

Simple Checks Before Starting the Car
If the vehicle has been parked for a long period of time, check the car before you start driving. If safe to do so, inspect around the wheels, under the car and inside the engine compartment. If you move your vehicle regularly, then it will be less likely that snakes will make it their home.
