New Delhi: Today is the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri. On this day devotees worship Maa Katyayani, the sixth form of Maa Durga. According to the scriptures, the goddess took this form after being pleased with the penance of sage Katyayan. This four-armed goddess is riding on a lion, which is a symbol of courage and strength. Apart from this, chanting Om Devi Katyayanyai Namah 108 times is also considered very effective. If the devotee repeats it regularly then fears, obstacles and negative influences go away.
