Dhanteras 2025: Dhanteras, also known as Dhantrayodashi, is celebrated every year on the Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This festival marks the beginning of Diwali. Dhanteras will be celebrated on 18 October (Saturday) in 2025. The auspicious times are as follows:

• Pradosh Kaal Puja Muhurat: 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Auspicious Choghadiya time for purchasing gold and silver:

• Auspicious time: 7:49 am to 9:15 am.
• Profit-Progress: 1:51 to 3:18 pm.
• Amrit Kaal: 10:40 am to 12:06 pm (19 October).

Buying gold, silver, copper utensils, electronic goods, and vehicles is considered auspicious during these Muhurtas.

Dhanteras puja method

• House cleanliness: Clean the house thoroughly, make rangoli at the main entrance, and decorate lamps.
• Preparation for puja: Spread a red cloth on a wooden platform. Install idols of Goddess Lakshmi, Kuber, and Dhanvantari on it.
• Worship: Perform Jalabhishek with Ganga water. Offer Akshat flowers, a lamp, and incense. Worship the safe, account books, or documents of the new business.
• Yama Deepak: Light a lamp in the name of Yamraj in the south direction in the evening, which removes the fear of untimely death.
