New Delhi: Skoda Auto has launched the Kushaq facelift in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The most expensive variant of this model is available at a price of Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

This 2026 version is the first major update to the Kushaq SUV since its launch in 2021. It features several major changes to the SUV's design and features. All these changes are aimed at positioning it better against SUVs like the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victorias, Kia Seltos.

The Skoda Kushaq facelift is available in five variants, Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo.

What about the design of Skoda Kushaq?

The new facelift version of the Skoda Kushaq has received several major changes compared to its predecessor. In particular, it now features a new headlight design, which is more attractive than the previous version and features eyebrow-shaped DRLs (digital lights).

Additionally, the SUV features 17-inch alloy wheels (variant dependent) and 50 kg roof rails. At the rear, the Kushaq gets a full-width LED light bar with illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering and sequential turn indicators.

What about the interior?

Inside, the new Skoda Kushaq retains the same dashboard design, with ambient lighting. The new Kushaq continues with its fair bit of modern features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment (now paired with an AI assistant by Google), ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, auto AC, cruise control, a 6-speaker sound system and connected car tech.

It also has an upgraded 10.25-inch digital display for the driver.

Is it safe?

Safety features include six airbags, a rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM) as standard. Importantly, it lacks the 360-degree camera and ADAS suite available on many other cars in this segment.

How is the engine?

The Skoda Kushaq is available with a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 115 hp and a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 hp. The larger engine is paired to a 7-speed DCT, while the smaller engine comes with a choice of an 8-speed torque converter automatic and a 6-speed manual transmission.
