New Delhi: The Tata duo, namely the Punch and the Nexon, came first and second. Not only this, but they were also included in the list of the best-selling cars in the nation. The Fronx came third in the rankings, while the Hyundai Venue and the Mahindra XUV 3XO completed the list of top five.
The Punch from Tata is back on top in India’s sub-4-meter SUV category. Although last month, Maruti Fronx ruled the segment, now, after just 30 days, the Punch has taken back its number one position. It is worth mentioning that two Tata models, i.e., the Punch and Nexon, took first and second positions in the category. Both models also grabbed two spots in India’s bestselling cars list. Fronx bagged the third position, whereas Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO were also part of the top five. The starting price of Punch stands at ₹569,990, and it got a 5-star safety rating. The Tata Punch recorded 21,006 units in June 2026, doubling from 10,446 units in June 2025 with an increase of 101.10%. The Tata Nexon recorded 18,335 units in June 2026 compared to 11,602 units in June 2025, an increase of 58.00%, whereas the Maruti Suzuki Fronx sold 13,135 units in June 2026 compared to 9,815 units in June 2025, which is an increase of 33.80%.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO recorded 10,063 units in June 2026 compared to 7,089 units in June 2025, showing an increase of 42.00%, while the Maruti Suzuki Brezza recorded 9,939 units in June 2026 compared to 14,507 units in June 2025, representing a 31.50% decrease. The Renault Kiger sold 689 units in June 2026, compared to 755 units in June 2025, marking an 8.70% decline.
The Kia Sonet recorded 9,231 units in June 2026, increasing from 6,658 units in June 2025, showing a rise of 38.60%. The Nissan Magnite sold 1,167 units in June 2026, lower than 1,313 units in June 2025, marking an 11.10% decline, whereas the Kia Syros registered 2.10% growth and sold 790 units in June 2026, compared to 774 units in June 2025. The Hyundai Venue recorded 10,776 units in June 2026 compared to 6,858 units in June 2025, showing an increase of 57.10%.
Compared to 371 units in June 2025, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny sold 354 units in June 2026, recording a 4.60% decline.
In June 2026, the Toyota Taisor was purchased by 2,483 individuals, whereas in June 2025, 2,408 units were sold. This means that the car had experienced 3.10% growth in sales. In June 2026, 1,167 units of Nissan Magnite were sold, while in June 2025, 1,313 units were purchased. There was a decrease in the number of purchases by 11.10%.
