New Delhi: The Hyundai Creta has dominated the mid-size SUV segment among Indian consumers for years. Powerful cars like the Tata Sierra, Maruti e-Vitara, and the new Kia Seltos have already entered this segment earlier this year. However, in the next few months, five new powerful SUVs are set to enter the market to challenge the Hyundai Creta's dominance. These include Toyota's luxury electric version and the return of the Renault Duster. Let's learn about these five upcoming SUVs that will soon arrive in your showroom.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

Toyota is set to make a splash with its new electric SUV, the Ebella. Essentially, it's the Toyota version of Maruti's e-Vitara. However, its appearance will be quite premium and European-style. You'll find stunning 18-inch alloy wheels and a sleek front grille. According to media reports, this EV can offer a range of up to 543 km on a full charge.

All-New Renault Duster

Renault is set to re-launch the Duster, once the country's number one SUV, on March 17th. The third-generation Renault Duster has been completely revamped. It will feature a 10.25-inch digital cluster, an infotainment system with Google Maps, and 17 advanced ADAS features. Initially, it will be offered with 1.0 and 1.3-liter turbo petrol engines. However, a powerful hybrid engine will also be available by the end of the year.

New Skoda Kushaq

Skoda is bringing its most popular SUV, the Kushaq, back in a facelift. This time, it will feature some segment-first features. It will also feature premium features like a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and disc brakes on all four wheels. It is expected to be launched in March.

Nissan Tecton

Nissan is preparing to dominate the market with its new SUV, the Tecton. It will be a partner car to the Renault Duster. However, its appearance will be largely muscular and boxy, similar to the popular Nissan Patrol. Its distinctive feature will be its strong road presence, making it appear more rugged and distinct from the Duster. It is expected to hit the market by April.

New Volkswagen Taigun

Like the Kushaq, Volkswagen is also introducing a new version of the Taigun. Launched in April, this car will feature new headlights, new 17-inch alloy wheels, and updated bumpers. It will also feature a panoramic sunroof, massaging rear seats, and an 8-speed gearbox.
