Patna: The two bodyguards of Khan Sir, a well-known coaching teacher from Patna, will remain in jail for now. On Friday, the court rejected their bail petitions. They are accused of opening fire during a dispute involving Gyan Bindu Coaching Academy; a video showing both of them firing shots into the air had gone viral. Faisal Khan, alias Khan Sir, is also an accused in this case, though his arrest is currently stayed.

When is the next hearing?

Meanwhile, the hearing on the bail petition of Roshan Sir, the director of Gyan Bindu, was postponed once again; the hearing is now scheduled for Monday. He is also lodged in Beur Jail, having been named as an accused in the case involving vandalism, stone-pelting, and the assault of a guard at Khan Sir's coaching center.

Arguments from both sides regarding the regular bail applications of Khan Sir's two guards—Pradeep Kumar and Taleshwar Singh—were concluded on Thursday in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Anurag Verma. The court had reserved its order on their bail pleas. On Friday, the court announced its decision and rejected both petitions.

Why was Roshan Sir's bail rejected by the lower court?

Meanwhile, Roshan Anand (alias Roshan Sir), the director of Gyan Bindu, has already faced a setback in court. The court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Anurag Verma had previously rejected his bail application. Subsequently, his lawyer filed a regular bail petition in the District and Sessions Court. A hearing was scheduled for Thursday but was postponed. A hearing was then set for Friday, but it could not take place then either. The matter will now be heard on Monday in the court of District and Sessions Judge-33.

What is the dispute between Khan Sir and Roshan Anand?

A disturbance occurred on the night of June 2 outside the Khan Global Studies Center in Patna's Musallahpur area. A dispute arose between Khan Sir's and Roshan Sir's coaching centers regarding credit for the Bihar Police Constable recruitment results. During the night, some youths vandalized the area outside Khan Sir's coaching center, pelted stones, and assaulted and injured a guard.

Gyan Bindu Academy was accused of being behind this incident. The following day, the police arrested three individuals, including Roshan Anand, the director of Gyan Bindu. On June 4, a video of the incident went viral, showing two of Khan Sir's guards opening fire; the police verified the authenticity of the footage and detained both men.

A fresh FIR regarding the shooting incident was registered at the Kadamkuan police station, naming Khan Sir as an accused. It was alleged that the two guards had opened fire at Khan Sir's behest. Khan Sir subsequently approached the Patna Civil Court seeking anticipatory bail, and the court stayed his arrest until June 20.
