Aurangabad: A case of gang rape of a 20-year-old woman from Nepal has come to light in Aurangabad, Bihar. Police have arrested three people, including two autorickshaw drivers and a minor in connection with the alleged rape of the woman.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening. In her statement, the victim stated that a minor accused approached her and offered to take her children for a ride. She then went with him along with her two young children. An auto-rickshaw was parked some distance away, in which two young men were already sitting.
The woman alleged that after forcing her into an auto-rickshaw, the three accused took her around the city. The accused then took her to a dilapidated house in Irrigation Colony, where they raped and assaulted her.
The victim told police that during the incident, the accused gave her two children mobile phones to distract them. After the incident, the accused left the woman near a water tank in the Nagar police station area and fled. The woman informed her husband about the incident that night. Later, on Wednesday, police complaint was filed against the accused.
Upon receiving information about the case, the city police station began an investigation and arrested all three accused. The two arrested accused have been identified as Jitu alias Pali and Abhishek Kumar, residents of Mahua Shaheed Mohalla. The third accused is said to be a minor. According to the police, Jitu and Abhishek work as auto drivers in the city.
City police station chief Baban Baitha said that considering the seriousness of the case, the police took immediate action and arrested all three accused. The victim has been medically examined. The process of recording her statement in court is also underway. The accused have been sent to jail, while the minor will be sent to a juvenile home. The police are investigating the entire matter.
