CBSE Issues Advisory as Lakhs Rush to Access Answer Sheets on Re-Evaluation Portal

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday issued clarification against complaints of students claiming that the portal for re-evaluation and obtaining answer sheets is not working properly. In a social media post, CBSE has stated that the online application portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer books is functioning properly. 

What did CBSE say?

The CBSE's Answer Sheet Portal witnessed a flood of applications as soon as it opened. Lakhs of students have applied to get the scanned copy of the answer sheet of the Class 12 board examination.

In a social media post, CBSE has stated that the online application portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer books is functioning properly and many students have already registered their requests.

"The online application portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class XII answer books is now functioning smoothly, and applications are being submitted successfully," CBSE stated in a tweet.

How many students have applieed till now?

According to a statement from the board, more than 3.87 lakh answer sheet requests were registered within just three hours of the portal's launch. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said in a post on X on Wednesday, that till 7:30 pm on May 20, 1,27,146 applications have been submitted for 3,87,399 scanned answer sheets within three hours of the portal opening. The board also said that the online application portal for getting the scanned copy of the Class 12 answer sheet is now working smoothly.

The board further wrote, “1,27,146 applications were successfully submitted till 7:30 pm on May 20, i.e. within three hours of opening of the portal, for receiving 3,87,399 scanned answer sheets.”

What did CBSE advice students?

CBSE advised students to be patient and request their answer sheets only when necessary. Filling in incorrect information may result in application cancellation. CBSE also advised students not to repeatedly submit new applications. Once submitted, wait a while and check the status.

How to apply?

Students who wish to view their CBSE 12th answer sheets can apply by visiting pvr.cbseit.in/pvr/. The application process will continue until May 23. The verification and re-evaluation process will begin on May 26 and continue until May 29.
