New Delhi: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) re-exam is scheduled for June 21. In response, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released admit cards for the NEET re-exam. Candidates can download their NEET re-exam admit cards by visiting the NTA website. However, while downloading the admit cards, candidates are encountering a problem.
NEET UG 2026 was scheduled by the NTA on May 3, and the provisional answer key was also released. Meanwhile, a NEET paper leak came to light, prompting the central government to cancel NEET UG 2026. The CBI is investigating the leak. Meanwhile, the central government has announced a NEET re-exam and also decided to refund the NEET UG 2026 fees to over 2.2 million candidates. The NTA previously opened a portal for this purpose, prompting candidates to enter their bank details.
The NTA opened the NEET re-exam admit card download window on Sunday. The NTA has provided the option to verify bank details when downloading the admit card. The NTA has clarified that candidates will need to verify their bank details when downloading their admit card to receive a fee refund.
The NTA has provided a bank verification option for fee refunds when downloading admit cards. Candidates are calling this option a trap by the NTA. Several candidates have claimed they lost their fee refunds due to this trap. Candidates have posted about this on the social media platform X.
Taking to X, a user said that NTA's NEET refund verification is a scam. If you don't edit your bank details just to receive your admit card, it shows that you have agreed not to provide details for refunds. Why was such a misleading option created?
Another user posted the same and said that, "I had the same problem. If we've already submitted the details, why are they being asked again? When I got to that page, the details were already filled in, so I thought I didn't need to edit them and went to the download page. Now it's showing that I've agreed not to submit my details! This is my parents' hard-earned money."
Many candidates have lost their fee refunds while downloading their NEET re-exam admit cards. Experts said that candidates should ensure they enter their bank details when downloading their admit cards.
