Mumbai: After dating each other for over two years, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Sunday marrried his long-time partner Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony, which took place at his home, with only their family members and close friends.
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt tied the knot on Sunday in an intimate ceremony which took place at their residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The couple were surrounded by close friends and family members, including children from their previous marriages.
Aamir and Gauri had a registered marriage at home under the Special Marriage Act. The first photo of their wedding has also surfaced. According to reports, Aamir and Gauri Spratt signed their marriage papers on Sunday at around 12:45 pm in a private ceremony attended by close family members. Gauri Spratt's son also stood by the couple. Both Aamir and Gauri became emotional after the wedding, with tears welling up in their eyes.
Aamir and Gauri's wedding was attended by approximately 100-150 guests. In addition to Ira and Junaid, the actor's sister also arrived at the home. Prior to the celebrations, Aamir’s children Ira Khan and Junaid Khan were seen arriving for the ceremony.
Lagaan director Ashutosh Gowariker was also spotted making his way into Aamir’s residence. Actor Elli Avram, Irfan Pathan, Raj Thackeray and Vir Das were seen arriving for the intimate festivities as well.
The Ambani family also attended the wedding ceremony, however, a large tree fell in front of Aamir's house amid heavy rain, causing the Ambani family's convoy to stop for a while.
Aamir Khan first introduced Gauri officially on his 60th birthday and revealed they had known each other for over two decades before beginning their relationship. During his interviews, Aamir Khan had also revealed that he already considers himself emotionally and mentally committed to Gauri by stating his peace with her, saying 'Ab jaake Main Mukammal Hua'.
Aamir and Gauri have also been living with each other happily for the past few months in an apartment building a stable life.
Gauri Spratt, who was previously associated with Aamir Khan Productions, has a seven-year-old son, Quinn, from her previous marriage, while Aamir Khan was married twice before this relationship with Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and the former couple has a son, Azad. Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021.
