Mumbai: Actor Yash's film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' is one of the most anticipated films of this year. As the film's release nears, the makers recently released the song 'Tabaahi' featuring Kiara Advani. The song received a lot of criticism, with people comparing it to a condom ad. Now the south actor has responded to all the mocking.

What did Yash say about the song?

As the criticism continues, now Yash has responded to the trolling in a humorous way. During his appearance on 'Aap Ki Adalat', Yash was asked about the criticism surrounding the song. Responding to the comparison to a condom ad, he said, "Agar condom ad karna hai, toh paise leke karunga. Aise muft mein nahi karunga. (If I have to do a condom ad, I will do it for money. I won't do it for free)."

What did Yash say about vulgar scene?

Responding to criticism over the sexual and provocative scenes in the film 'Toxic', Yash clarified that there is nothing obscene in his film.

“Vulgarity is wrong. Maine toh kiss bhi nahi kiya hain, agar aapne dekha hoga toh (Vulgarity is wrong. I haven't even kissed, as you may have noticed). There is a certain line, and we understand that. You have to shoot things aesthetically, and what may seem visually appealing later is the impact of cinema. That is a creator's voice," he said.

Is 'Toxic' film for GenZ?

The south actor also explained what Toxic is trying to say. “Toxic is for Gen-Zs. It's for the conversations you guys are having, what problems you guys have with the seniors. Us generation ke baare mein aap log jo questions puchte ho usme kya galti hain, kyun aisa fixed rules hai, kyun aisa hi karna chahiye. Whatever your thoughts are, it's the primary conversation of the film. (It is about the questions you ask about that generation – what is wrong with them, why there are fixed rules, why things have to be done a certain way)," he added.

When will the film release?

'Toxic' was initially scheduled for release in March, but was postponed to June due to "uncertainty in the Middle East." Now, 'Toxic' is scheduled to release on August 26th of this year.

Shot simultaneously in English and Kannada, 'Toxic' will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, 'Toxic' is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
