What did Trump say about Strait of Hormuz?

While speaking about ongoing negotiations with Iran over reopening the Strait of Hormuz, Donald Trump warned that no country would be allowed to control the strategic waterway.

During a Cabinet meeting at Camp David, the US President said that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open to all nations and also called it as "international waters" that cannot be controlled by any one country.

"We'll watch over it, but nobody's going to control it. That's part of the negotiation that we have," Donald Trump said.

Did Donald Trump warn Oman?

During the Cabinet meeting at the White House, Donald Trump issued a direct warning to Oman, stating that, "They would like to control it. Nobody's going to control it. It's international waters, and Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we'll have to blow them up."

What about US-Iran deal?

Donald Trump said that US is still not fully satisfied with the current framework being discussed with Tehran.

"Iran is very much intent, they want very much to make a deal. So far they haven't gotten there ... we're not satisfied with it, but we will be. We will be either that or we'll have to just finish the job," he said.
