Gaza: Amid ongoing tensions in the Gaza Strip, Israel, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claimed that it struck two "senior" Hamas operatives in northern Gaza, adding that further details will be shared later, according to reports.
According to reports citing the Palestine Red Crescent Society, stated that at least four Palestinians were killed and 15 others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a residential house in central Gaza City.
The development comes after the Israeli Air Force and Israel Defence Forces killed the new leader of the military wing of the terrorist organisation Hamas, Muhammad Odeh, who is one of the architects of the October 7 massacre, in Gaza.
"The operation was carried out on the instructions of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz," Israel PMO said in a post on X.
Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu later in an X post shared the confirmation of eliminating all involved in the October 7, 2023, massacre.
"We have now struck Muhammad Odeh - the leader of Hamas's military wing and one of the architects of the October 7 massacre. We will get to all of them," he said.
According to the Israeli Defense Minister, the attack occurred within two weeks of the killing of Hamas's previous military chief, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, who was killed on May 16. Mohammed Odeh's family confirmed his death but did not acknowledge that he was the new head of Hamas's military wing.
Israel says its attacks are in retaliation for Hamas's ceasefire violations and threats against its troops. However, Palestinian officials said a significant number of the casualties include civilians. Four Israeli soldiers have also been confirmed killed in Gaza.
