The situation in Gaza is currently extremely delicate, and it is clear that if the international community does not intervene quickly, this conflict could escalate into a massive human tragedy.

Gaza: At least 20 Palestinian civilians have been killed in the latest air strikes by Israel in the Gaza Strip. The dead include seven children and several women. The attack took place in Shujaiya and Al-Tuffa areas, where the Israeli Air Force bombed residential areas. There is an atmosphere of chaos and destruction in the area after the attacks. Many injured are admitted in local hospitals and relief and rescue operations are still going on.

The Gaza Health Ministry has confirmed that a large number of those killed include women and children. Locals say that the attack was deliberately carried out by targeting civilians. However, Israel has rejected these allegations and said that its target was Hamas terrorist hideouts and the death of civilians was unintentional. This incident has happened at a time when the long-running conflict in Gaza has intensified.

UN condemned the attack
The United Nations and many international human rights organizations have strongly condemned this attack. They have demanded to ensure the safety of civilians and stop the conflict immediately. The continuous attacks in Gaza have given rise to a serious humanitarian crisis. Common people are suffering amidst severe shortage of food items, medicines and electricity. The latest attack has proved to deepen this crisis. Many global organizations including the United Nations, European Union and OIC have appealed for a permanent ceasefire and diplomatic solution. But the situation on the ground still remains tense
