International News: The situation between America and Iran is again moving towards tension. In view of these circumstances, America has advised its citizens not to go to Iran. A new advisory was issued by America regarding travel to Iran, in which it is clearly stated that citizens should not travel to Iran under any circumstances.
The US State Department's Consular Office wrote in a post on the social media platform X, "American citizens should not travel to Iran for any reason. American citizens in Iran have been kidnapped and wrongfully arrested without any warning and without any evidence of crime. These include citizens holding dual citizenship (US-Iranian). Some have been imprisoned for years on false charges, mentally tortured and even sentenced to death. Just having an American passport or having a connection to the US can be a reason for arrest by Iranian authorities."
Addressing a press conference, US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said, "The Iranian regime does not recognize dual citizenship and routinely denies consular assistance to detained American citizens." She said that although the bombing has stopped, it does not mean that it is safe to travel to Iran.
Tammy Bruce also said that the US government is launching a new website, which aims to warn Americans against traveling to Iran. Bruce said, "We are also launching a new website to warn Americans against traveling to Iran. You can see it in many languages. Our travel advisory is also available there. It is still in force." The State Department spokeswoman said, "We reiterate the recommendation not to travel to Iran, especially to people with dual citizenship or Iranian descent. It is not safe for anyone."
