Tehran: Peace between America and Iran is fragile. They signed an agreement on June 17. However, the fighting has not stopped; therefore, the tension has still not eased. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei is angry and wants justice. He says America and Israel committed crimes. He wants courts to punish them. He wants action in Iranian courts. He also wants the International Court of Justice to act.
Khamenei posted on X on Sunday. He listed the deaths of Iranians including infants killed, elderly people dead. And one major leader assassinated. He called that leader a unique jewel and great fighter of the era. All these deaths, Khamenei said, are part of thousands of serious legal cases. Iran's courts should handle them. International courts should also handle them. Both must act with full force. Khamenei was clear on the stand as he said these criminals must face justice. They must stand trial. They must answer for what they did.
In another post, Khamenei said America and Israel have confessed to these crimes. Some of their leaders even bragged about it. Confessing to crimes is admitting guilt, that opens the door to justice and protects Iran's rights. Khamenei said during the wars imposed on Iran, America and Israel committed many crimes. Iran's authorities must investigate these crimes. They must keep pushing until there is a final verdict. This will also prevent future crimes.
Getting justice is hard and fighting oppression and corruption is hard. But Iran can do it as Khamenei said it needs commitment and determination. It needs hard work and courage. Along with that, it needs certainty and needs to take the initiative. Considering the situation, new technology and better systems can help.
The peace agreement between America and Iran was supposed to stop the fighting. It was supposed to reduce tension but nothing has changed because the attacks and threats are still continued. Now Iran wants legal action but America is unlikely to allow its leaders to be prosecuted. Israel is unlikely to either. International courts have limited power over powerful nations. So Khamenei's demand may face long and difficult road.
