New Delhi: Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, Iran Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday thanked Afghanistan’s authorities and people for their support and for condemning the US-Israeli regime.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi expressed gratitude to Afghanistan, saying they had condemned what he described as actions by the United States and Israel against Iran.
Abbas Araghchi said Iran would continue to “stand firm and steadfast” against the military offensive.
Taking to X on Tuesday, Araghchi thanked both the government and people of Afghanistan for showing solidarity with Iran.
Araghchi wrote in Persian which roughly translates, "In this blessed month of Ramadan, I sincerely thank the government and people of Afghanistan. They have condemned the aggression of America and the Israeli regime, and expressed solidarity and support for the people and government of Iran."
He further said that Iran would continue to stand firmly against such actions, expressing hope that peace and stability would also prevail in Afghanistan.
"With trust in God, we stand firm and steadfast against aggression. I hope that peace and tranquility will also endure in Afghanistan," he added.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran is ready to take the conflict beyond its borders if necessary.
