According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the epicenter of the quake was located in the sea off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture. The agency reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 50 kilometers. Following the tremors, mild panic was observed among residents in the affected area. However, no reports of major damage or casualties have surfaced so far.

Was Tsunami Warning Issued?

The Japan Meteorological Agency has clarified that no tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake. Officials are continuously monitoring the situation.
