International News:A wave of discontent has swept across Pakistan after India's action against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and some areas of Punjab under 'Operation Sindoor' on 7 May 2025. The Indian Army killed more than 100 terrorists in this retaliatory action and destroyed 9 major terrorist bases. This bold mission not only raised questions on Pakistan's military strategy but also exposed the lack of trust among its citizens.
A shocking figure has come to light in the latest survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan. According to the survey, about 2 crore Pakistani citizens have clearly said that if there is a war with India, they will not support their own army. This survey was conducted just after Operation Sindoor, when Pakistan started making false allegations against India.
The atrocities of its own citizens on the Pakistani army, repeated failed policies, and the declining economic condition of the country have broken the trust of the common people. People have now understood that engaging in a war with a country like India would be like throwing one's own future into the fire. Neither will Pakistan benefit from the war nor will its dilapidated economy get any relief.
The people of Pakistan now want peace and economic stability, not war. Many citizens have openly said that Pakistan should give up the policy of terrorism and militarism and focus on education, health and employment. 7 percent of the people (about 2 crore citizens) included in the survey made it clear that they will not participate in any war on behalf of the army.
While on one hand Pakistan's propaganda media claims that 93% people want war with India, the opinion of 2 crore people shows that now the common Pakistani citizen wants peace with India. These people are not only against the war, but are also advocating for dialogue with India and solving the issues through wisdom.
This voice raised in Pakistan is not just a statistic, but a mirror of the social and political reality of that country. India's strict but precise action has made it clear that India can go to any extent against terrorism. At the same time, the people of Pakistan now want life, not war.
