International News: After the Pahalgam attack, tension between India and Pakistan has reached its peak. India has vowed to take revenge for the attack and has taken several diplomatic steps against Pakistan. The fear of India's attack is visible in every corner of Pakistan and the leaders there are talking about leaving the country after the attack on Pakistan. Pakistan's National Assembly member Sher Afzal Khan Marwat was answering a journalist's question, in which he was asked whether he would go to the border with a gun in case of a war with India. Marwat replied, "If a war breaks out with India, I will go to England." After which his statement is becoming increasingly viral and the fear of India's attack is clearly visible in the Pakistani leader.
After Marwat's reply about going to England was made by a journalist, when he was asked if he believed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi should step back to reduce tensions, Marwat jokingly said, "Is Modi my aunt's son that he will step back on my saying so?"
Pakistani politician Sher Afzal Khan Marwat’s comment on social media has ignited a storm, with many criticizing him for implying that even Pakistani politicians do not trust their own army. His reply quickly went viral, fueling debates about the strained relationship between Pakistan's political leaders and the military. Marwat, who is a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, led by the imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been a vocal critic of his party’s leadership. This constant criticism resulted in his removal from key positions within PTI by Khan himself. Marwat’s statement has further deepened the rift between the political and military factions within Pakistan, adding fuel to the ongoing national turmoil.
On April 22, 2025, a deadly terrorist attack unfolded in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, when three militants opened fire on a group of tourists in the picturesque Baisaran grassland, around 5 km from Pahalgam. The attack resulted in the tragic deaths of 26 individuals, sparking nationwide shock. This violent incident has intensified tensions between India and Pakistan, with both countries on high alert. The threat of retaliation by India looms large, further complicating an already fragile diplomatic situation.
