Pakistani airstrike kills 9 people in Afghanistan, injures many

New Delhi: Families sleeping in the night, bombs suddenly falling from the sky, and then the bodies of innocent children being pulled out of the rubble. In Afghanistan's Kunar and Helmand provinces, the airstrike of Pakistani aircraft has once again created such a horrific scene, in which a total of 9 people, including women and children, have lost their lives.

According to Afghan officials, the attack took place around 3 a.m. on Thursday in the Chogam Valley of Shelton district of Kunar province, when the house of a civilian was targeted. The TOLO News report, quoting local sources, said that five people, mostly children, were killed in the attack, while three others were injured.

Helmand was also bombed

A similar incident was reported in the Safar area of Garmasir district of Helmand province, where civilian houses were said to have been hit by airstrikes. A total of three houses have been completely destroyed due to the attacks. After the attack, locals started pulling out the people buried under the rubble, and the injured were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. After this whole incident, there has been deep anger among the people against Pakistan at the local level.

Taliban spokesman strongly condemns

Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban government in Afghanistan, confirmed the attack and said that Pakistani jets bombed civilian houses in the Chogam area of Kunar and Safar area of Helmand last night. According to him, a total of nine people, including women and children, were killed in these attacks, while 11 others were injured.

Mujahid strongly condemned the action, calling it an aggressive and criminal act. According to him, this incident is a direct violation of all accepted international principles. After this latest development, the already ongoing tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan has deepened, and there is a possibility of further souring in the relations between the two countries.
