America reacted sharply to this scene. Commenting on social media, US President Donald Trump wrote that India and Russia standing with China like this points to "very deep and dark circumstances." Lavrov clarified in an interview that it is not necessary for the three countries to completely agree on every issue. He said, "This does not mean that all policies are 100 percent the same. But wherever there are common interests, the tendency of cooperation is clearly visible." According to him, only mutual benefit will make this relationship sustainable.

The Russian Foreign Minister said that the common interests of India, Russia, and China lie mainly in economic development, solving social problems, and improving the living standards of citizens.
