International News: US President Donald Trump had warned India of imposing heavy tariffs on oil purchases between India and Russia. Now both India and Russia have given a strong reply to America on this. Russia reacted sharply to the US threat on Tuesday. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, "It is illegal to prevent other countries from doing business with Russia."
He also said that every country has the right to take its own trade decisions. Putting such pressure on anyone would be considered a 'threat'. This statement of Russia came a day after Trump's warning in which he told India that if it did not stop buying oil from Russia, then America would impose heavy tariffs.
Trump said on Monday night that India is not only buying Russian oil but is also making profits by selling it in the open market. He said, "India does not care how many people the Russian army is killing in Ukraine. That is why I am going to impose heavy tariffs on India."
The Indian government has issued a strong statement on Trump's threat. The Foreign Ministry said, "It is unfair and wrong to target India in this way. We are a big economy and will take necessary steps to protect our national interests." India has made it clear that it will take its own decisions and will not come under anyone's pressure.
