International News:The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tashkent caught everyone's attention this time for several reasons. But most of the headlines were about Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. His gesture and style of conversation made it clear which countries India considers its close partners and wants to maintain distance from.

At the beginning of the conference, Modi's style became a matter of discussion among everyone. He hugged Russian President Vladimir Putin with affinity, smiled with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and indicated harmony by patting the back of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. All these moments gave diplomatic indications that India is in favor of interaction and deepening with its important partners. But the most interesting thing is that Modi did not even look at Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. This neglect gave a different message throughout the program, and the pictures became very viral on social media.

Uncomfortable moments for Sharif

While on the one hand, Modi's spontaneity and laughter with Putin and Jinping were captured in the cameras, while Sharif, standing nearby, became just a spectator. Political analysts believe that this strategy of Modi was well-educated, to express that India would keep distance from any country that supports terrorism.

Tough stance on terrorism

In his address, Prime Minister Modi raised the issue of terrorism prominently. Referring to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that the attack is not only an injury to the soul of India but also a challenge for the whole of humanity. In the presence of Sharif, Modi's statement was considered a direct sarcasm on Pakistan.

Modi clearly stated that terrorism, separatism, and extremism are the biggest obstacles for global peace and development. He called upon the SCO member countries to unite, leaving "double standards" against the problem. He said that measuring terrorism on the scale of good and bad only increases the danger.

New beginning of relationships with Turks

The interesting aspect was that the warm meeting between Modi and Erdogan at the conference indicated that India and Turkey are trying to give a new direction to their relationship despite mutual differences. Due to supporting Pakistan, there was a sour relationship in the past, but this meeting showed a glimpse of possible changes.

India is full of confidence

Amidst American tariff policies and changing geopolitical conditions, this balanced diplomatic stance of Modi shows that India is now becoming an important player in global politics, not only regional strength. Close to Putin and Jinping, warm with Erdogan, and strictly distant from Pakistan, Modi made it clear from the international platform that India is a strong and confident country for both its interests and global peace.
