International News: Amidst the tension between India and Pakistan, Turkey has invited trouble upon itself by supporting Pakistan. The enmity with India has started to cost Turkey heavily, the Indian government has issued a stern warning to Turkey, while #BoycottTurkey is trending on social media, due to which Turkey is likely to suffer economic losses. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, during the conflict between India and Pakistan, Turkey supplied drones and weapons to Pakistan and kept silent on cross-border terrorism. After which, there has been a distance in the relations between India and Turkey. Now the Indian government has shown a big heart and given Turkey another chance. If Turkey accepts this, then its relations with India can be good.

India to Turkey: Act against Pakistan’s terror or risk ties

India expects Turkiye to encourage Pakistan to dismantle its support for cross-border terrorism and take tangible steps against terrorist networks. Healthy relations require consideration for each other's concerns," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated during the weekly press conference.

Turkey will have to decide

Jaiswal has put India's side in front of Turkey. Now Turkey will have to raise its voice to stop the terrorism flourishing in Pakistan, or it will have to distance itself from India and suffer economic losses. Turkey has long been a supporter of Pakistan on the Kashmir dispute. Turkey has openly supported Pakistan in the recent Pahalgam attack and the fighting that followed. The Pakistani army has targeted Indian cities with Turkiya drones, although most of the attacks were foiled by Indian air defense.
