International News: Ukraine launched a drone strike on a massive gas processing plant in Orenburg, southern Russia. This plant is one of the largest in the world. The attack caused a fire and damaged part of the facility. As a result, gas supply from Kazakhstan was temporarily halted. The plant is operated by Russia’s state energy company Gazprom. With a huge annual capacity of 45 billion cubic meters, the facility processes condensate from Kazakhstan’s Karachaganak field. Officials confirmed that operations had to be suspended after the strike.
Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry confirmed that gas supplies were interrupted because of the attack. Officials said they are working to restore normal operations quickly. The halt has affected regional energy flow.
Ukraine’s General Staff said the strike was deliberate. They believe Russia’s energy facilities are financing and supporting Moscow’s war machine. In recent months, Ukraine has stepped up such attacks. They said cutting Russia’s energy income will directly weaken its military budget. Ukraine is also trying to pressure Moscow by creating fear inside Russian borders. These attacks show Kyiv’s new aggressive approach in the war.
Trump also spoke about American weapons. He said it is important to protect US stockpiles. When asked about giving Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, he avoided giving a clear answer.
Trump warned that giving too many arms to Ukraine could weaken US defenses. He also hinted that allies in Europe should share more responsibility. His mixed signals created doubt about America’s future support.
Ukraine claimed to hit Russia’s Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery in Samara with drones. Russia’s Defense Ministry responded, saying it shot down 45 Ukrainian drones overnight. Both sides continue to exchange heavy strikes.
The refinery attack disrupted fuel operations in the region for several hours. Russia said emergency services rushed to control the fire quickly. Analysts believe Ukraine is focusing on energy hubs to hurt Moscow’s economy.
