Morena: The mysterious Kakanmath temple built in the 11th century has attracted a lot of travellers, historians, archaeologists and devotees from all over the country. Located in the village of Sihoniya, Morena district, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

As per reports, locals believe that the temple was built by ghosts in just one night. It does sound impossible, but people from different places want to solve this mystery too.

According to the historians, the structure of the Kakanmath temple dates to the Kachchhapaghata dynasty. Many of them believe that King Kirttiraja was the one who constructed the temple in the early 11th century.

The temple is unique and extraordinary in itself. Constructed with massive stone blocks, reportedly without conventional mortar and cement, the temple stands straight, 30 metres tall.
