The more you see others' photos in social media sites like Insta or Facebook, the more you feel jealous, comparative, and lonely.

What is social isolation?

Social isolation refers to the fact that you don't feel like conversing with anybody and don't feel connected with people. You begin disliking social parties and slowly stop attending social activities, due to which you turn into a lonely victim.

Why does social media cause loneliness?

The greatest disadvantage of social media is that the bond people form with new individuals via social media isn't an actual bond. That's why we feel guilty if we expect too much from them. Because there is a difference between speaking in person and speaking on a call or message. You don't realize each other's emotions and feelings, and that makes you think that the other person isn't getting your words.

Gives a small amount of happiness

Friending new individuals on social media provides you with some seconds of happiness. But the reality is that even if you have 500 friends here, no one is your real friend. Social media slowly drifts you away from the actual world and individuals, due to which you feel lonely.

Considering yourself inferior to others

Watching others perform better in life, profession, love or in any aspect of life, some individuals tend to compare their life with those individuals and that is where they become lonely.
