Punjab: Sri Anandpur Sahib is once again poised to become the spiritual heartbeat of Punjab. Just two days later, on November 23rd, a grand three-day gathering dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji will begin.
The entire Punjab is filled with emotion, reverence, and pride for this historic event. The Punjab government's preparations for this event, with respect, sensitivity, and grandeur, are being highly appreciated throughout the state. The purpose of this gathering is not just to commemorate history, but to connect future generations with the legacy of the Sikh faith, which has always sacrificed everything to protect humanity, justice, and righteousness.
Guru Tegh Bahadur's sacrifice is not just an event in Sikh history, but also the greatest message of human rights to the world: sacrificing one's life for the faith and freedom of others. On November 23rd, the gathering will begin with an Akhand Path, an exhibition, and an all-religious conference. The entire program for the following day, November 24th, is designed to provide a deeper understanding of Sikh history, culture, and martyrdom. The day will begin with the Sheesh Bhenth Nagar Kirtan in the morning.
This Nagar Kirtan is not just a religious procession, but commemorates the historic route by which Bhai Jaita Ji safely brought Guru Tegh Bahadur's body to Anandpur Sahib. This journey is still considered one of the most sacred and poignant events in the Sikh faith. This will be followed by a heritage walk, filled with heritage.
Each step of the journey, including Gurdwara Bhaura Sahib, Sheesh Ganj Sahib, Guru Teg Bahadur Museum, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Qila Anandgarh Sahib, and Virasat-e-Khalsa, offers a sense of history. The Punjab government has designed this walk in a beautiful and informative manner, so that every visitor can experience the martyrdom of Guru Sahib and the heritage of Anandpur.
At 11 a.m., a special legislative assembly session dedicated to Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji will be held. This is the first time in Sikh history that the state legislative assembly itself is officially honoring Martyrdom Day. This initiative reflects the Punjab government's deep reverence for the Gurus.
A series of cultural and spiritual programs will follow, including Dhaadi War, Kavishar Darbar, plays, poems, and performances based on Guru Sahib's teachings. This beautiful confluence of Punjab's folk traditions and spiritual heritage will touch people's hearts.
In the evening, special performances of Gatka, sword fighting, Shastra Darshan, and Samagam will take place at Charan Ganga Stadium, showcasing the valor, dignity, and traditions of the Khalsa Panth in a captivating manner.
This will be followed by a spectacular drone show at Virasat-e-Khalsa, where the life and martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be presented through light using modern technology.
At night, Katha and Kirtan Darbar will fill the atmosphere with spiritual tranquility. Public sentiment is clear: the Punjab government has designed this three-day Samagam not just as an event, but as a festival of devotion.
Everyone recognizes that remembering the martyrdom of Guru Sahiban with such respect and grandeur is not just a government responsibility, but a tradition, and the Punjab government is fulfilling this tradition with utmost devotion. Over the next three days, this Samagam will unite millions of people in reverence, history, and the heritage that gives Punjab the courage to stand tall across the world.
