'No AC, No Water’: Jaipur Flyer shares 5-Hour Ordeal Inside Air India Express

National News: A woman from Jaipur recently described a frustrating and tiring experience she and other passengers went through on a flight from Jaipur to Dubai. The incident, which has gone viral on social media, highlights the struggles people faced when they were kept on the aircraft for over 5 hours without proper air conditioning and drinking water. They also denied the proper communication, or any help from the cabin crew.

Dietician and nutrition expert Aarzoo Sethi expected a routine flight when she boarded Air India Express flight IX196 on Saturday. For everyone on board, however, what transpired was a nightmare. According to her, the airplane remained stranded on the tarmac with the air conditioning turned off and without a clear explanation from the crew.

Distress Among Passengers Inside the Plane

A video that Aarzoo posted on Instagram shows the poor conditions inside the cabin. The video, which has been viewed more than 18 million times, reveals children crying, passengers fanning themselves with whatever they have, and many repeatedly pressing the service button in the hope of getting some help.

Aarzoo described in her video, “This is my 3-year-old son, completely soaked in sweat. We kept pressing the button for help, but nobody came. It felt like we were stranded without any care or communication from the crew.” In her caption, Aarzoo called the incident a “serious safety lapse” and demanded Air India Express take responsibility for putting people through this awful experience.

Airline Silent So Far Amid Rising Concern

Aarzoo raised questions about the lack of communication from the airline. “Where is the accountability?” she asked. “Where is the minimum service we should expect in a situation like this?” According to her, many passengers were distressed, and there were growing health concerns due to the poor conditions on board.

As of now, Airline has not made any official statement about the incident. The video has become a huge talking point online, with many people calling for the airline to clarify what went wrong and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
