National New: Politics has heated up over the recent visit of Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav to a mosque near the Parliament House in New Delhi. During this visit, many other leaders were also present along with SP MP Dimple Yadav. But, as soon as the pictures of this meeting surfaced, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacked. Along with this, objectionable comments were also made about Dimple Yadav's dress, which has sparked a heated debate on social media.
BJP Minority Front President Jamal Siddiqui was the first to make a series of allegations. He said that the mosque has been made the informal office of the Samajwadi Party and religious places are being used for political purposes. He termed the entire incident as hurting Islamic sentiments and said that an FIR would be lodged.
Jamal Siddiqui said that Akhilesh Yadav went to the mosque yesterday, which is right in front of the Parliament House. The Imam there is our MP Nadvi Sahab. We also condemn Nadvi ji—why was a political meeting held in the mosque? He said that if this continues, then BJP will also start its meeting on July 25 in the same mosque by singing the national song and the national anthem.
Targeting Dimple Yadav, he said that in the picture Dimple Yadav is sitting in a blouse, and her back and stomach are visible. She did not even have a dupatta on her head. This is against the rules of the mosque and hurts Islamic sentiments.
The BJP leader also alleged that the mosque was turned into a 'place of fun and frolic' and 'anti-national activities' were discussed there. UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak also alleged that the Samajwadi Party repeatedly violates the Constitution. He said that the Constitution says that religious places should not be used for political purposes, but the Samajwadi Party does not believe in the Constitution.
The Samajwadi Party has completely rejected the allegations of the BJP. Dimple Yadav said that there is nothing like that. Our MP Nadvi ji had called us, so we went. BJP is spreading baseless things. No meeting was held. BJP wants to divert people's attention from real issues. Attacking BJP, Dimple Yadav said that they want to avoid serious issues like SIR, the Pahalgam attack, and Operation Sindoor in Bihar.
While talking to journalists, Akhilesh Yadav said, Thank you, but you too have fallen into the trap of BJP. The people who are standing with me are religious, and I only know that faith unites people. This is what troubles BJP—they do not like unity; they like distance.
