Bihar: The counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 started at 8 am, and with this the political atmosphere has reached its peak. On the other hand, preparations to celebrate the possible victory have intensified at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in Delhi. Here, traditional dishes, especially from Bihar, are being included in the menu.

According to a local sweets businessman, Jalebi has been included in the sweets, while Sattu Paratha and Brinjal Chokha will be served in the meal. Litti-chokha can also be prepared. It is clear from these arrangements that BJP is confident of a strong victory for NDA.

“We will win more than 200 seats,” Nitin Naveen claims

Bihar government minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Naveen has expressed confidence in a big victory for NDA. He said the results would be like 2010, when the NDA got a record majority.
He said, “We all are confident that NDA will get more than 200 seats this time and will form the government comfortably.” Along with this, he targeted RJD and said that the party has still not been able to come out of the “jungle raj mentality.”

Triangular contest on Bankipur seat

This time also Nitin Naveen is contesting from the Bankipur assembly seat of Patna. This is his fourth consecutive fight. compared to them, RJD's Rekha Kumar and Jan Suraj's Vandana Kumari. Jan Suraj is contesting the assembly elections for the first time, so this contest has become more interesting.

Voting made history in this election

This time voting in Bihar broke many old records.

  • 69.20% in the second phase, which is the highest so far
  • Overall turnout was 67.13%, the highest turnout since 1951.
  • 65.06% voting was recorded in the first phase.

According to the Election Commission, very tight security arrangements have been made at the counting centers, and police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed in Patna, Gaya, and other districts.
