Patna: Ahead of the Bihar assembly elections 2025, the polling schedule of some of the assembly constituencies in Bihar has been revised by the Election Commission of India due to the security concerns. The polling schedule in Bihar is normally held between from 7 AM to 6 PM in most regions.
It is to be noted here that due to the safety concerns in some sensitive areas, the polling schedule has been revised. After a survey, the election commission has announced that voting in some regions will end an hour earlier, i.e., from 7 AM to 5 PM. And after this revision, around 1,300 polling booths will come under this category, most of which are part of the second phase of polling.
As per the revised schedule by the Election Commission, all polling booths in Simri Bakhtiyarpur and Mahishi (Phase 1) will conduct voting from 7 AM to 5 PM. In the Suryagarha assembly constituency (also Phase 1), 56 polling booths conduct elections between 7 AM to 5 PM. Meanwhile, elections in the remaining polling booths will continue till 6 PM.
Meanwhile, in the second phase, all polling booths in Chainpur, Sikandra, Rajouli, Jhajha, Govindpur, Jamui, and Chakai will end at 5 PM instead of 6 PM. Notably, some polling booths in other constituencies will conclude at 5 PM.
