Patna: Ahead of Bihar elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has guaranteed one-time aid of Rs 30,000 to women if he comes to power in the Bihar election.
In his statement, Tejashwi said, “As soon as the government is formed, we will work to address the demands of the mothers and sisters by depositing Rs 30,000 for the entire year on January 14th, Makar Sankranti."

During the press briefing Tejashwi Yadav made a promise to provide free electricity to farmers for irrigation purpose. He said, “We will provide free electricity to farmers for irrigation. Currently, the state government charges 55 paise per unit but we will reduce it to zero.”
Tejashwi added, “We will provide Rs 300 in addition to the MSP for paddy and Rs 400 per quintal for wheat.”
It is to be noted here that Tejashwi earlier said that Mahagathbandhan is sure to form the next government in Bihar. He added that the swearing-in ceremony will be held four days after the results of Bihar assembly elections are declared.
Talking to reporters, Tejashwi had earlier said, "On November 14, the results of the Bihar assembly polls will be declared, and on November 18, swearing-in will take place."
He made the remark while reacting to the arrest of Anant Singh, former Mokama MLA, who is in the fray as the candidate of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U).
Hinting towards the arrest of former Mokama MLA, Anant Singh in connection with the murder of Dular Chand Yadav, he said, "It was bound to happen, such a serious incident had taken place."
It is worthy to be mentioned here that Bihar Assembly elections will be held on November 6 and 11 to elect the 243 members. Meanwhile, votes counting and result will be declared on November 14, 2025.
