New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the National Democratic Alliance’s big win in Bihar at the BJP’s national headquarters in Delhi, amid loud cheers and slogans. He said that families across Bihar would celebrate the victory — which had crossed 200 seats at the time of the announcement — by cooking the state’s traditional makhana kheer.
In his address, the Prime Minister called the huge mandate a sign of support for the development-focused efforts led by both JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar and the central government. He also sharply criticised the Mahagathbandhan for its poor performance in the state.
1 – What did he say about truth and trust?
Modi said that Bihar has once again proved that false claims do not last, while people’s trust always wins. He added that the state’s voters have clearly shown they will not support leaders who are out on bail.
2 – What did he say about Jungle Raj and Katta Sarkar?
He remarked that during the election campaign, when he spoke about Jungle Raj and Katta Sarkar, the RJD did not object, but the Congress felt offended. He stressed again that Bihar will never see the return of Katta Sarkar.
3 – What did he say about the MY formula?
According to the PM, some parties had promoted an MY (Muslim-Yadav) appeasement formula in Bihar. But the latest results have introduced a new and positive MY formula — Mahila (women) and Youth.
4 – What did he say about Congress?
He accused the Congress of turning into the “MMC — Muslim League Maoist Congress,” saying its entire focus now revolves around this agenda. Because of this, he claimed, a new group within Congress itself is becoming unhappy with its negative politics.
5 – What did he say about Bihar’s impact on Bengal?
Modi noted that the Ganga flows from Bihar to Bengal, and similarly, Bihar’s mandate has opened the path for the BJP’s rise in West Bengal. He congratulated the people of Bengal and said the BJP, with their support, will remove Jungle Raj from the state as well.
