BJP MPs’ Workshop Kicks Off in Parliament; PM Modi Likely to Receive Honour for GST Reforms

New Delhi:A two-day workshop of BJP MPs is going to start on Sunday in the Parliament complex. According to party sources, on this occasion Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to be honored for the recent GST reforms. The BJP had planned this workshop many days ago, and it is expected that the Prime Minister himself will also attend this program.

Positive atmosphere regarding GST reforms

BJP leaders believe that the public will get direct benefit from the new GST slab. Tax rates have been reduced on many items, which will reduce the burden on the pockets of consumers. The party argues that this will not only increase consumption but will also give new energy to the economy. The BJP and its allies estimate that the relief in the market will increase public confidence, and its effect can be seen in the Bihar assembly elections to be held in November.

The President's Office shared the picture of the meeting on the social media platform X and gave information. This meeting took place after the prime minister returned from his recent visit to Japan and China. Although detailed information of the meeting was not shared, it is being considered as a part of regular dialogue.

Dinner cancelled due to flood disaster

Meanwhile, in view of the floods and devastation caused by it in various parts of the country, including Punjab, the BJP has cancelled the dinner scheduled for NDA MPs at the Prime Minister's residence on September 8. This program was to be organized a day before the vice presidential election. Party sources said that the dinner scheduled to be held at BJP President JP Nadda's residence on Saturday night was also postponed. The BJP has described this decision as taken keeping in mind the sensitivity of the disaster.
